NYU School of Law students are assisted in their job search by the most extensive placement program in the country. The Office of Career Services begins working with J.D. students in the fall of their First Year. Together with the Public Interest Law Center, the office organizes panels and workshops on all aspects of job hunting, provides a videotaped simulated interview program, and offers individual counseling.

This has produced an outstanding success rate: 97% of the J.D. Class of 2005 reported that they secured their first or second choice of jobs as law firm associates, judicial law clerks, staff attorneys with public interest and government organizations, in-house attorneys and non-practicing lawyers in business.
