Those interested in a joint degree must apply to and be accepted by both New York University School of Law and Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Students must meet all of the requirements to obtain the Master's Degree at the Kennedy School; twelve (12) credits earned at the Kennedy School may be applied toward the eighty-two (82) credits required for an NYU School of Law J.D. degree. The student must complete five semesters at NYU School of Law instead of six.
