Environmental and Land Use Law Scholars Program
The Environmental Law Scholars Program awards scholarships in amounts up to full tuition to students who have a strong background and interest in environmental and land use law and have the ability to bring this perspective to class discussion.
In their first year, scholars in the Center for Environmental and Land Use Law will be invited to participate in events sponsored by the Center. For an overview of the types of events the Center has sponsored in the past, please see the Center's website at www.law.nyu.edu/centers/elc/conferences
In either their first summer, or their second or third years, scholars are given priority to work with the Center's faculty as research assistants (for approximately 10 hours per week during the semester, full-time during the summer) on one of the Center's projects www.law.nyu.edu/centers/elc/programs
Faculty will work with the scholars to help them find journal note or "A" paper topics related to environmental or land use law or policy. Faculty also will work with scholars to help them find summer or term-time positions with government agencies, not-for-profit organizations or law firms working in domestic or international environmental and land use law.
