Study Abroad Programs
NYU School of Law participates in study abroad programs with eleven foreign law faculties. Second and third year students can apply to spend one semester abroad and receive 12 credits towards their J.D. degree. Study abroad programs are currently established with the Universities of Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Kyushu (Japan), Copenhagen (Denmark), Leuven (Belgium), Palermo (Argentina), Paris II and Paris X (France), Sydney (Australia), and the European University Institute (Italy), Bucerius Law School (Germany), and the National University of Singapore. Students pay tuition to NYU School of Law, not the partner school. Students are also responsible for travel and living costs while abroad. Toward the start of each spring term, students are invited to apply to study abroad at one of the partner schools in the fall or spring of the following academic year.
