Ken Kleinrock, Associate Dean for Admissions

photo of Ken KleinrockKenneth J. Kleinrock is Associate Dean for Admissions at New York University School of Law. He received his BA from Queens College (CUNY), magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa (1975), his M.A.T. from Duke University (1977), and his Ed.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University (1987).

Mr. Kleinrock began his career as a high school social studies teacher in Goldsboro, North Carolina (1976-1979); he also taught in the training and development department at E.F. Hutton & Company (1979-1980). His work in admissions began at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY) in 1980, where he served as Director of Admissions and Associate Registrar. In 1985, he joined the staff at Hunter College, as Director of Admissions. In 1989, Mr. Kleinrock joined the admission staff at the New York University School of Law. He began as Director of Recruitment and Admission Services, and became Executive Director of Graduate Admissions in 1997. He was named Assistant Dean for Admissions in 1998 and became Associate Dean for Admissions in 2012.  Currently, Dean Kleinrock oversees the offices of J.D. Admissions, Graduate Admissions, and Student Financial Services.

Dean Kleinrock has served several terms as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) and currently serves as Council Secretary.

Dean Kleinrock was born in New York City and currently resides in Manhattan.
