My name is Adrienne Slater and I am the Administrative Assistant to Sandra Scott, Manager of the Lawyering Program and Section V. I have been employed by NYU for the past seven years. Prior to working here I handled private corporate banking accounts at Republic National Bank now known as HSBC. Currently, I am a resident of Jersey City, NJ but was born and raised in Brooklyn’s Park Slope/Clinton Hill section. I began my education at Brooklyn College majoring in TV/ Radio Production. I lost interest at Brooklyn College and pursued the more artistic and creative side of “ME”. My passion for fashion was then pursued at The Fashion Institute of Technology where I spent two years studying Advertising/Communications. Unfortunately, this part of my life ended abruptly due to a car accident. Several years later, I left NY and lived on the island of sunny Tobago, WI for two years. Having enlisted the help of a local Tobagonian, I began my first dress shop proprietorship. In spite of this success, I came back to NY to pursue other dreams. Just call me a “risk taker”. Life is short!. Today, I have a small online business where I create three dimensional art decor light switch covers for the home. Some of my clients have been right here in the Lawyering Program.
