The NYU School of Law Laptops website provides information and support regarding laptop usage at the Law School. We will list any important announcements on this page. In addition, you'll find steps on how to configure and troubleshoot your wireless connection at the Law School, how to install your in-class exam software, how to ensure your laptop is exam-ready, and much more.
Announcements
- ATTENTION (All Students) 8/15/11: Student Laptop Support has officially joined the Helpdesk, effective immediately. The Helpdesk is located at the top of the main stairs in Vanderbilt Hall, the first door on your left. You may contact the Laptop Support Phone and E-mail lines, and visit Helpdesk for walk-in support.
- If you are shopping around for a new laptop, we highly encourage you to look at the offerings from the NYU Computer Store. The academic pricing is very competitive. In addition, all Thinkpad models recommended come with a 3-year warranty, covering accidental damage (spills, drops, etc...). Click here to find Law School recommended models.
- Operating System Upgrades: Snow Leopard and Windows 7 are now officially supported.
