Public Interest Law Foundation
The Public Interest Law Foundation is an independent, non-profit foundation which supports grassroots legal services organizations working in marginalized communities. PILF raises money to support an active grant-making program, funding term-time internships for New York University School of Law students and seed grants for start-up projects at outside organizations with NYU School of Law connections.
PILF also promotes public interest legal work and charitable giving within the NYU School of Law community through programs such as our summer salary drive, career panels, guest speakers and social events. Working with PILF gives students experience with non-profit management, grant-making and fundraising, as well as exposure to a wide variety of public interest legal projects.
