Public Interest Law Center

Public Interest Legal Career Fair
Employer Information

Space is limited.  Registration opens October 1.

Because NYC has good, safe tap water (available without the creation of greenhouse gases to transport it to our venue), the water provided at the Fair will not be bottled water.  If you like to carry water with you, consider bringing your own refillable bottle!

NYU's Public Interest Legal Career Fair is the largest such event in the country. Last year's Fair hosted 200 employers and some 2,000 students from 21 participating law schools.  Whether you are seeking to fill a permanent position or find summer interns, the Fair is an efficient way for busy public interest employers to connect with dedicated students.  There is no participation fee for employers. You may elect to attend for two full days, or for as little as half a day.

Employers may participate in the Career Fair by:

  1. interviewing pre-selected students
  2. staffing an informational table
  3. both (provided you send enough staff to cover two locations!)

Even if you will not be able to attend the Career Fair, we encourage you to register for the Fair so that your organization will be visible to students using the online system.

Because of NYU’s commitment to public service, we provide funding to all NYU School of Law students who intern at public interest and government organizations during the summer.

Employer registration begins October 1, 2009 and closes December 1, 2009 at 3 p.m.

Employers attending the Fair for the first time may register by clicking on the "PILC Fair Employer Registration" button below. Returning organizations must register for the 2010 Fair by clicking on the "Employer Login" button below.

The Fair is located at Vanderbilt Hall, 40 Washington Square South, between MacDougal and Sullivan Streets. Employer and Student Registration open at 8 AM. Interviews and Table Talk run from 9:20 AM to 5 PM each day.  Please contact us in advance to arrange special accomodations, including a private space for nursing mothers.

Questions pertaining to the Fair may be directed to law.pilcfair@nyu.edu.

Note: If your organization has attended previous Career Fairs, you DO NOT need to register again. Please login with the username and password that you already have. Click here if you forgot your password.
